Posted September 7, 2018. hello,there. 1-) Go to Steam Library. 2-) Right click Euro Truck Simulator 2. 3-) Properties. 4-) Local Files. 5-) Verify integrity of game files. 6-) Wait for the process to complete then Re-Attempt to launch ETS2. then try to make a new profile again.
Right click them and go to open file location. For whatever reason, mine were in my videos folder. Now that you've found these sii files, just find the folder that they are in by navigating backwards in the file path. Then, just copy that entire profile folder back into C:\Users\user\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\profiles\ I hope this helped
Start the app. Navigate to "..\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\profiles\XXXXXXXXXX\save\autosave\game.sii" and load that one into the Decryptor app. Where it says 'output file', choose somewhere OTHER than the location of the game.sii you are wanting to edit. Do not tick or untick any boxes. Leave the defaults as is.

Fun fact: It already has steam cloud saves, it's just not enabled by default for profiles BEFORE they added the feature, so you need to enable by editing your profile in-game. Keep in mind, enabling cloud save will change the save location as far as I know. The Steam Cloud Saves have been added since August 2018.

Posted September 10, 2017. Hello, I understand that typically the game saves the profile data in the Documents folder, which is on the C:\ drive in the users directory. My profile data is in the F:\ drive (along with the game install files). I have steam using the following start up command: -homedir "F:\Documents\American Truck Simulator".
You can try this: -open the folder "C:\Users\*your name*\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2". -look for the file "game.log.txt" and open it with Notepad. -go to the very last line of it (shortcut: Ctrl+End keys) -if it says "Road network navigation caching started." then all is normal and you just didn't wait long enough.

A file explorer window pops up, select the location you want to save it to and also give your file an appropriate name; Press "Save" If you've extracted your mod to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod you're fine and done, if not just copy your extracted mod to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod and you're done.
I currently have the location of my ETS2 profile in my onedrive folder on my C drive. I want to change it to my documents folder on my D drive. I cannot find how I change the settings of ETS2 so that the game takes my profile from the D drive instead of the C drive.
Right-click in the “mod” folder and paste the file (s) you copied earlier. Now you will have to rename all of the files, to make them work in singleplayer, to do this: Right-click on a file and select “Rename”. Remove .mp from the filename. Add .scs to the end of the filename.
